Located in the tourist village of Csopak, in Hungary, Buborék Csopak offers a cosy place for cyclists and nature walk enthusiasts to stay all year round, accompanied by various other services (BED-BIKE-BREAD). The building was completely refurbished in June 2022 to create a location that houses not only a bakery, but also a bike shop and a hotel. The upper floor has been repurposed to provide a comfortable place where travellers can stay the night and recharge their batteries (in more ways than one!). What architects Eszter Bertóty and Edit Móder were aiming for was to create a space that was both functional and inviting, featuring a clean contemporary design born from a fusion of Scandinavian and Mediterranean moods. Bathed in neutral tones, the interiors are furnished with modern furniture with natural materials predominating throughout. Inside the building then, the bakery's characteristic counter, the fireplace, and the bathrooms walls are all tiled with Ceramica Fondovalle porcelain stoneware from the Res Art collection, in the Talc, Pottery and Mud shades.

These alternating warm shades on the walls are not only appealing to the eye but also inviting to the touch thanks to their glossy relief texture. This innovative collection recreates the effect of hand-worked, trowel-applied resin with original results. The intensity and warmth of a simple, yet artistically rich, material is captured to perfect effect in this design-led offering for projects with high impact visuals. The natural beauty of the centrally positioned fireplace surround, in particular, and the uniquely shaped bakery counter create a sense of harmony, making the room even more welcoming once inside. All this is also originates directly from the decision to use these unique 5 cm x 30 cm size wall tiles - an original style choice that has added character and expression throughout the building.
